READ INSTRUCTIONS. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I will admit it!  I do NOT always read instructions.  ONLY in my profession to I read instructions. I administer medicine everyday & I am a stickler for instructions where human life is involved.  But where my life is involved...such as hair coloring, I don't read instructions.

I read the instruction on how to put on the gloves , mix the product , and use the little comb to hide your roots.   I DID NOT  read the part that you should yank out part of your hair and do a TEST STRIP.   I just did not want to pull out a few strands....sounds painful....and my hair stylist has never done that.  I held the box up to my hair and it looked like the same color.
And the other reason you may have an allergic reaction to the dye.  My gosh, if I had an reaction to hair coloring...I would be dead by now.

So, I happily mixed my hair coloring product and it looked golden, just like my hair.  I happily placed it on and left it on an EXTRA 5 minutes to cook.  I happily rinsed out my hair and ran to the mirror to look at my happily covered roots.

OH MY GOSH.  I HAVE RED ROOTS.  My, uh, "natural blond with carmel" hair is below the roots.  And OF COURSE, the one area I have that is "grayish" is still gray.

So then I got the bright idea to WASH MY HAIR AND MAYBE IT WOULD WASH OUT.  MY stylist always warns me NOT to wash my hair for 48 hours after my coloring, because I might wash it out.  THAT IS A MYTH!   I washed my hair with lots of shampoo and my red roots are still there.  But the more I look at it ....I think it looks ok.   It sorta blends with some of my carmel coloring.

I will know the real results when I go to work on Monday and my co-workers who are brutally honest will ask me, "Did you do your own hair again?"

Baby Blog Steps

My first baby steps into blog world.  All the Hallie's thought it would be fun to write the adventures into the mind of a very deep and intellectual person.  NOT.   We may explore many things....like my mom's collection and the stories behind them....maybe a story or two about my dog.....or places I go.  Who Knows?   I may even rewrite some of my Happy Thots and share those.
Some of my blogs may be serious, but mostly I hope they are happy.  Because when someone makes me smile....it makes my day....and when someone makes me laugh out loud....it makes my week!  So here we go....off to Hallie's World.
